Stucco Veneziano (polished plaster)
The mirror-polished Italian classic. Four to five ultra-thin lime coats burnished to a marble-like sheen — the finish most Manchester clients mean when they search for polished plaster.
Greater Manchester & Cheshire
Hand-applied Italian Venetian and polished plaster across Manchester, Salford, Stockport and the Cheshire belt — sampled in your own light, applied by Alex Dodgson himself.
Venetian Plaster Design is run from Manchester by Alex Dodgson, with twenty years on the trowel behind it — starting in internal plastering and external rendering, and now working almost entirely in Italian lime finishes. Every wall is applied by hand, by the same person who quoted it.
Manchester work ranges from single feature walls in city-centre apartments to full room schemes, stairwells, media walls and seamless micro cement bathrooms across the suburbs and Cheshire. Larger commissions include the curved plasterwork at Newcastle Airport and restaurant interiors in Telford.
No travel charge anywhere in Greater Manchester or Cheshire. Response usually within 24 hours.
Finishes
The mirror-polished Italian classic. Four to five ultra-thin lime coats burnished to a marble-like sheen — the finish most Manchester clients mean when they search for polished plaster.
A matte to satin lime finish with soft cloudy movement. Hard-wearing, breathable and well suited to older Manchester brick properties and converted mills.
Pearl and metallic pigments that shift with the light — popular for city-centre apartment feature walls and media walls.
Seamless, tile-free bathrooms, wet rooms and floors. Applied straight over existing tiles in most cases.

Yes — sealed polished plaster and micro cement are both used in bathrooms, wet rooms and shower areas. They are waxed or sealed to make the surface water-resistant and wipe-clean.
